The North Carolina Geographical Society (NCGS) will hold its 2017 annual meeting on November 3rd in Winston-Salem, NC. The event, organized by Winston-Salem State University and MapForsyth, will include the society’s annual business meeting, a lunch that includes poster viewing, and an afternoon of presentations. A call for presentations and posters is open through October 8th. “We are excited to bring the North Carolina Geographical Society and the NCGS annual meeting to Winston-Salem,” said Jesse Rouse, Interim President of the NCGS. “The meeting offers a great opportunity for Geography professionals in public and private positions, students, and others to share their interest in the state we live and work in.”
Abstracts are sought for paper and poster presentations for the meeting by October 8th. Paper submissions should focus on geographic themes connected to North Carolina, while poster submissions are open to any topic or theme.
